Michael McCartney

Central Victoria Solar City Project Manager

Michael has a background in law, financial planning and commerce, and keen interest and knowledge of the renewable energy sector. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. For close to twenty years he was one of the principals of Strategem Financial Group, a regional financial management consultancy, based in Bendigo.

Michael co-wrote the Solar Cities bid for the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance. Michael is also Vice President of Mount Alexander Sustainability Group, one of Central Victoria’s largest and most effective community climate action groups.
