Christopher Davidson
Managing Director of Bellwether Agriculture Pty Ltd.
Chris Davidson is the Managing Director of Bellwether Agriculture Pty Ltd. Bellwether Agriculture provides sustainable agribusiness services to the Australian agribusiness industry in the form of licensed and proprietary technologies that are environmentally sustainable, renewable and focus on bio-waste treatment and waste water recycling.
Chris has twenty nine years experience in on-farm agribusiness. Chris’ depth of knowledge and understanding of the rural industry led him to pursue this business in a professional capacity. Chris initially applied his knowledge through international agribusiness group, Elders Limited.
In 1998 Chris joined Visy Industries, a large privately owned global packaging company. At his time with Visy, Chris was involved in the design and incorporation of a waste water recovery re-use system as part of Visy's AU$450m kraft pulp and paper mill, a greenfield investment in southern NSW. Chris was also part of small consultant team who initiated ‘The Murrumbidgee Valley Water Efficiency Feasibility Project Report’ of December 2004. The project was a joint $5.3M dollar initiative between NSW State Government, Commonwealth Government and Pratt Water Pty Ltd.
Seeing a gap and opportunity in the sustainable treatment of agribusiness waste Chris, with business partner Allan Richardson, initiated Bellwether Agriculture Pty Ltd. Bellwether Agriculture seeks to apply leading edge technologies to treat agricultural, organic industrial, municipal bio-waste and waste water streams. Green Energy is created as a by-product which provides renewable and energy efficient fuel sources as well as organic (and sustainable) fertilisers, recycled water and Carbon Credits.
