Grant McVicar
Director of Energy Conservation / Director of BioEnergy and BioResources (Saskatchewan Research Council)
Grant McVicar is currently the Director Energy Conservation and the Director of BioEnergy and BioResources for the Saskatchewan Research Council, the second largest provincial research organization within Canada.
Mr. McVicar is an accomplished energy management executive, with over 30 years of experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of energy policy and programs spanning conventional energy supply, alternative energy, energy trade, environmental impacts associated with the supply and use of energy, energy efficiency, energy regulations, and energy-related technology development. During his career as a consultant and a civil servant with both the Province of Saskatchewan and the Province of Manitoba and a Senior Executive with the Saskatchewan Research Council, he has designed, operated, evaluated, or co-authored reports on over 70 major initiatives focusing on energy use, conservation, renewable energy and climate change.
